new member but a month long lurker.

I'm about a month new to being a keeper of the chickens and just wanted to thank all of the great ppl here on byc for ultimately helping me get the poop into my coop.

I had browsed alot of the coop pics here and used a little bit of each design i liked, stole some ideas and came up with my plan which so far has been a huge success. my 6week old girls have comfortably moved in and now feel at home in their new coop/run.

any of the dozens of questions i have had have been easily answered with a simple search here and its refreshing to see that there are so many ppl with the same questions i have. although i see alot of the questions are repetitive the long time members here answer them the same the 10th time as they did the first time.

this place is a wealth of knowledge and for that I thank you all.

The coop was constructed of 90% reclaimed pallet wood, leftover building supplies, and just stuff I had kickin around. I have less than a hundred dollars into the whole thing. Minus cost of feeders/ waterers. It was a lot more work this way but I feel great using up/recycling leftovers into something useful. I even made the roofing panels out of junk boiler jacket material at my place of employment.

Welcome to BYC!!!
