Hi I have some mille fleur chickens, a couple months old. I had them on medicated started feed for a while but they were not vaccinated.

This morning one had a watery poop with red in it. It's acting normal but we're about to head out for over a week and have family coming to check on them.

What should I ask them to look for and when to make a call about determining if it's serious?

Picture of poop may help. I would go to your feed store and get some Corid liquid or dust, and treat them for possible coccidiosis. Dosage is 2 tsp of the liquid or 1.5 tsp of the powder per gallon of water as the only source. Treat for 5-7 days. Change it daily and make sure they drink it. Symptoms of coccidiosis are lethargy/sleepy chick, not eating, standing around hunched or puffed up, and runny poops sometimes with blood.
