Poop question (pic)

I would seperate them and not let thae ones with poop like that out into the yard for a couple of days so yo can watch there poo and monitor what they are eating before worming.

" I had a flock of crows drop a whole corn dog in our drive nearly hitting the truck as they were fighting over it in the air"

Were they fighting over it, or trying to bomb you? Corn dogs are deadly.....
Those little red things look like the seeds from a burning bush to me. Or maybe seed cones from hemlock or spruce trees

I wouldn't think it's worms or anything like that.

It could be something that was eaten but not digested.

Just keep an eye on them, and if any symptoms of Cocci come up, get them to the vet immediately.

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks for all your help. I will keep the two roos in a separate pen and keep an eye on them. So far everyone seems to be healthy and happy so I will wait to see more symptons before treating them with anything. Thanks again!

What if they do not free range? I have found red in my chickens' poop an not all of them run around the yard all day. Someone gets out frequently, but,... I also have ones that I had been letting run around on the yard when we were having nice weather, like, last week or something around there, and I found red in their poop, too.

When I have gotten a few or couple of my flock tested for pullorum, it didn't come out positive.

Maybe the crows were trying to hit me... not sure....

But if it did come down to suspecting cocci, just take a fecal sample to your vet for a fecal float analysis. If it turns up with worms or cocci, you can figure out the type and get the right drug to treat. Plus, that would probably be like under 20 vs 80+ a bird.

And even if they are cooped, never know if a few small seeds or other grain things ended up in the pellets or scratch and they just came out the other end.

My silkie hen just recently had poop that looked just like this, and I don't know if it has anything to do with it but it was right after I put some oyster shell in with her scratch. She had about 3 poops that looked like that, and after the oyster shell was gone, no more red in her poop. This hen is perfectly healthy. I don't know why the oyster shell would have caused this, but it was the only thing she had different.

Thanks Nif! I did put out a new pan of oyster shells. It's been a couple days now and I have not found any more red in the poop. So far so good....

ok just a thought do you think it might be worms (ground worms) that did not get ground up in crop?
