Poop shelf new nest box

I installed a poop shelf under the roosts and now it seems they prefer that to the nest boxes. Had 2 eggs in the boxes and 4 on the shelf. Didn't notice them till I cleaned the coop today. I installed the shelf earlier this week. There's no covering on the nest boxes, so I think I'll install one tomorrow and see if that helps make them a little more cozy.

Put galf balls or plastic eggs that mite help.

Put a nice roof over the nest boxes and someone is still laying on the poop shelf. I think I'm going to get some fake eggs and try that.
