I don’t want to just pull it off because that would hurt and pull off feathers too. Should I give their rear ends epsom salt baths to help loosen it and then gently pull it off? What can I do to prevent this in the future? Should I trim their butt feathers? They have VERY fluffy butts

I actually was going to post on this same subject lol. I'll def be giving my poor girl a trim tomorrowI trimmed with scissors.
Thank you! I will try thatIf it's cold outside, a tug may be the best way to get it off.
Otherwise you can try trimming it off. Extra fluffy gals can sometimes get poop stuck in the feathers. Trimming fluff short can help.
