Poop? Vomit? Doesn't look normal...

I'm a newbie and just found this on my patio a few minutes after letting the chickens out. They are both roaming and running around looking for and eating bugs like crazy. Could this be vomit? Or is it poop? And should I be worried about it? They are both acting perfectly fine and have been in their coop/run all day and there was nothing like this in there.

I don't know what it is. I wouldn't worry. As long as they act normal and you don't see them pooping/vomiting that stuff again then don't worry.

Thank you! I'm just still nervous since I'm so new at this. I've gotten attached to these gals and would hate to miss something. I don't think they are quite as attached to me though lol. Unless I have treats of course...

Same with me! My chicks don't love me as much as I love them! Crazy chicks!

Yellow manure with no other symptoms can often be caused by diet with corn, strawberries and certain flowers being the usual suspects. High protein diets are said to do the same thing.

With other symptoms there is a range of disease possibilities, (yes, now the scary part), and it could indicate parasites such as worms, kidney issues, cancerous tumor, or even coccidiosis. Occasionally, with coxidiosis, The chicken will not appear to have any symptoms and the first sign will be the yellow poop.

I see the age of this post, but do hope everything worked out very well!
