Poop

Where do you dispose of the majority of your chicken poop. Best use of the chicken poop?
I scoop the poop boards daily and when the bucket is full, it goes into the compost bin which I layer in with grass clippings. It composts for a year before being turned into the garden beds.

...and if your purpose is fertilizer, chicken poops, honestly, are a poor choice. Hard to gather, and they are "hot" fertilizers - too much nitrogen, will burn many , perhaps most, plants - which is why we are all either using them with other materials in a compost, setting the in fallow fields for a season, or both.

Goat pellets are better.

Cow patties better still.

(from a "less waiting" perspective).

But goats and cows don't lay eggs! 🍳 (This is why I see poop as a side benefit... wasn't why I got chickens, but might as well make use of the poop rather than having to find ways to dispose of it, especially considering the amount of poop they generate).
