pooping habits of my hens

they poop EVERYWHERE which im sure is normal but they like to perch up by their nesting boxes and poop in them. they should be laying any week now and im not sure how to stop them from pooping in there.
help anyone?

Having covered nest boxes and roosts that are away from, and higher then, the nest boxes helps prevent that problem. I have nest boxes at the opposite end of the coop from the roosts and low to the ground in my coop.
