Pooping

I would think the intestinal blockage would be more likely since you are feeding carrots which are quite fibrous, are you providing grit? I'm not sure why you are feeding carrots in the first place?
I searched what was the best thing to feed ducklings and it stayed that you should feed them non medicated duckling food, vegetables like carrots and lettuce and fruits like apples and pears. I don’t really know duck, I would like to because I really love farm birds but have to search theses things up. I’m just trying to save the duck. This happens every year and I just can’t just let the circle of life happen. It breaks my heart when I think of the duck all alone. Also I didn’t feed it carrots until after this started happening, and he didn’t even eat them.

Can you post a picture of the poop?
I will try it’s hard to get a picture because its So watery that it soles into the hey. But I can try to describe it if that helps. It’s clear right now, only slightly white with little grains in it.

He just pooped and it actually looks a lot better than it did before.

Is this a wild duckling or one you purchased? I’d feed strictly feed for poultry at its tiny age. Warm water to drink. And maybe try making a warm soupy mix out of the crumbles. I have seen my ducklings back up and poop before. Also a mirror for company if this is your only duckling. I doubt that tiny one has worms. Are you keeping food and water out for it 24/7

It’s a wild Mallard that was stuck in the pool, which luckily has been broken so we have not put any chemicals in it yet. Thank you so much, I really love ducks, though I have had little experience with them. And I’m so glad for your guys help. Your suggestions sound great and the duckling is starting to have more substance to his poop.

I’m also glad to not that upon first finding him he had a little sugar water and then ate and drank all by himself. Or her. I’m not quite sure on the gender but just like calling it a him.

Also if you feel more inclined you can call wild life authorities in your area. They may have a rehabber close by who will take the duckling and rehab it and release when old enough.
