Poor baby chick dying?

i had a broody hen and so I gave her some eggs one day one of the eggs disappeared but just a fraction of a shell remained so I thought it may have been the other hens etc. well today my daughter checked to see how the last egg was doing since it was due to hatch Wednesday. She saw the mama up in the nesting box (not where she been keep the egg- she had the egg under the roost) and we found a small chick under a bunch of shavings. Her yolk looks to be mostly okay, there's feathers covering it it's a little translucent but I've never looked closely at that before so I don't know what it should look like and she has an umbilical cord nub. Well she's breathing and she will chirp when you pick her up and when you pet her she will move her head but that's about it. Her knee of on leg is cut open I think the mama beat her up. She's just laying there not moving eyes are closed and she's breathing but that's it. Is there anything I can or should do? I feel like wetting her eyes with q-tip to try and open them. Could her internal organs be damaged from the broody hen pecking her? I'm assuming it was her I don't know what else could have happened I don't know when she was born she was still in an egg last night and we found her dry at around 5 and the hen still growling if you came near her. If anyone has any ideas on what I should do please let me know! Me and my kids are so sad to see her like this. She's under a heat lamp right now with heat around 95

Not much you can do but keep it warm, and see if it improves. It won't eat or drink for the first day or two.

Some broody hens have no idea what chicks are and will attack them. Not every one is a good mom.

Sorry to hear you are having trouble.

Her yolk should be inside her tummy, but that might be what you are describing.

Since it just hatched, the yolk should provide nutrients and hydration well enough if you keep it warm. Maybe kinda confined to, they don't seem to have there land legs yet so they can bump around quite a bit.

If she gets a little stronger then dip her little beak in water... like tomorrow.

If the chick still has yoke outside its body, it most likely won't survive. If it has a " nub", then it has absorbed the yoke. Best thing at this point is to keep it warm..95 degrees is good. U can dab a bit of antibiotic ointment on its leg and umbilical nub. If it is resting best thing is NOT to handle it. If it seems awake and chirping u can offer a few drops of water ornutri drench(better)?

Oh I wish I would have saw your reply sooner! :,( she had a nub and had a shaving stuck to it. It just still looked funny compared to other day old chicks. I think one of the hens popped her open early maybe. She seemed dry so I would sprits the air above her and she would open her mouth I had a feeling I should have left her alone but I turned her to check her other side and make sure she wasn't sticking to the blanket under her or anything. I was going to put a little honey on her lknee but I wasn't sure I should. And I thought about giving her water but I didn't I wish I'd seen your reply or followed all of my instincts more. She passed. I had the temp to 100 at one point and there were times she'd open her mouth so I thought she was hot. There were times she'd open her one eye just a little bit and she would chirp but that was all. But after I found her looking hot I turned down the heat and when I came back out it was at 90 and she has passed. I did everything wrong! It bugs me I don't understand what happened could the hen may have messed up her internal organs? It's nice to know for future reference. Thank you for your time and your reply and asking how she is. We had a little funeral for her.
