Poor baby chick dying?

I'm so sorry u lost ur chick. Make urself a little 1st aide kit for next time. I keep nutri drench syringes, antibiotic ointment, saline,feeding tubes and baby bird food, 1st aide tape,bandaides, (spraddke leg) probiotics and a reptile type heating pad on hand. Sometimes chicks will hatch b4 they're ready. Not all hatches r perfect. Sometimes..sadly those things happen. You did the best u could.

I agree these things happen and you did your best.

Even in the incubator, not all chicks that hatch will survive. Of course the hen may have contributed. There is no way to really know. It could have been other hens in the coop, stress, genetics, rats..

Seems like a better brooding place for next time maybe a good idea?
