One of my ringneck pairs is setting for the second time since I got them a few months ago. Both times, mom only laid one egg. I checked the egg today to see if it was developing (the last was totally clear), and it had a teeny tiny dead embryo in it
I didn't have the heart to take it away from her, since she's been sitting long enough that she should stop soon.
Is there anything I can give them to increase the chances of the egg(s) hatching? I figure it's probably just due to the season, and am hopeful that they will get things straightened out this spring
I feed them a wild bird seed mix that has BOSS, milo, wheat, and millet, plus this red grit from Jedds.com.
