I have a log cabin sided dog house. It is fairly large, and it is in a caged dog run. (I don't have a dog, lol).
It worked beautifully for the broody mom raising her chicks. This spring, if she goes broody, I mean when she goes broody, I will put her out there. It got far too hot in the regular coop.
Anyway, it is an easy way to do it, if you are at all interested.
