Poor Coraki plz help

my darling little sebright, Coraki (Corra-Kye) was killed by a wild cat. R.I.P. what can i do to make my pen cat proof????

Oh I am sorry for your loss! I had a beloved hen taken by a coyote.

We have a chain link dog kennel 7x13. We attached 3 ft chicken wire all around the bottom and dumped a few inches of dirt on top of it. It is also attached to the bottom of the cage every few inches along, with wire (like i was sewing a running stitch). On top, we again lashed 3 ft high chicken wire, in rows. So it is now a solid mass of wire on top. The kennel door has 2 extra chains and a padlock.

It took an afternoon with DH and I fumbling around trying to get it right, but I am very happy I did it.

So, when I leave my property, or go in the house where I know I can't see/hear them, they go in the kennel. Food, water, treats await them in there.
