My little "deformed beak" chick is still growing. Sad to watch her try to peck at the food tray. Her head gets all the way in there and she seems to use all her effort to get food. Frantically pecking away for a few morsals. Her beak is getting worse as she grows (or so it seams). She doesn't seem to have any life in the lower part at all - just kinda there.
My heart goes out to her

I'm so sorry. I know some people have had ones like yours for several years by giving much added care for their special needs. I have only had one EE that was like this before and it was always smaller and just didnt thrive. When I picked it up - it was then that I noticed how much less it weighed compared to the others. I just put down a two week old chick today because her beak was getting more crooked.

Don't think I could put her down unless she was sick. Gonna wait and see if she produces eggs later. If not, I may have to at that point.
Thanks!
