Was this a hatchery?? That is awful. I have seen some very bloody birds at TSC, which about made me puke, but nothing this bad!!! Help these babes!!!!!!!!!!

No it wasn't a hatchery it was a hole in the wall farm and garden center... Still haven't heard anything from the humane investigator... left him a voice mail a few days ago.I am stur crazy wondering about these babies.... if i was loaded with money id go buy them alll and find good homes for them after they were healthy and strong but truth is i already have my hands full with 9 adults and 11 babies ranging from 1 day old to 3 months old and im only on an acre. I dont know how this manager / owner can sleep at night. The place was in anoka off hwy 10

Just wanted to mention that the humane investigator at the Animal Humane Society is involved in a HUGE animal neglect case in Rochester, MN. They just seized 200 animals from a woman with an out of control puppy mill. It was horrible! He may take until after the holiday to get back to you. He is terribly busy right now. He's a good guy, I know him personally. He will get back to you!

I may be able to help with a few birds. What is the store name?

Don't buy the birds!!

All it does is fund them to get more and abuse more animals. Go and take pictures, offer to take dying ones for free, but don't give them your money. Take them food if you have to, stand there until they give them food and water and heat, make a scene.

The same thing happens with pet stores, people feel sorry for the puppies, they buy them, which just funds the store to go buy more puppies. Puppy mills are kept alive by a well meaning population that wants to save the puppies by buying them. It helps the one individual but causes many more animals to suffer.
