Ever notice the guys spend the rest of the day walking around like they are really sore. Like they are the ones that had the "procedure" done.
 
The deed has been done! Sam is about 6 hours post-op now and doing well.

DH managed to watch with no ill effect. He said it is almost the same as a hog, haha...gotta love being married to a farm boy!

My trick for the sedation was to blindfold Sam. For previous Coggins, he's seen the needle coming and freaked. The blindfold did the trick - it only took THREE adults to administer the needle this time

. I left it on until he got up afterward and believe this helped his experience.
 
Glad to hear that everything went well, it normally does. Well, at least for the colt.... the men watching, well, you never know.
