A fox showed up in the middle of the day, presumably a mother, and took off my rooster Murphy. Possibly the best rooster I have ever had. He was nice, a goofball, and always let the ladies eat first. Although he really couldn't protect them due to his size. He was a Mille Fleur D'uccle. They also killed my favorite chicken I have ever had PERIOD. Sarah was a Plymouth rock, and the most compassionate and kind, and always had something to squawk at you about. Now the rest of the flock and the ducks get to spend some time in the coop until we catch this monster.
