Poorly Duck? Advise please

Hi Kathy

I can't post a picture until tomorrow as it is currently 11.45pm here in UK and my ducks are in bed now until morning.

I can post one tomorrow no problem

Thanks

Lauren

Hi. Took her to the vets this morning. They found that an egg was stuck. They admitted her and helped her pass it . In passing the egg she has prolapsed but the vets are fairly confident she will make a recovery. She had an x ray and luckily no eggs had build up in her passage . She is back home now on anti biotic and going back tomorrow afternoon for a follow up. The vet said since this has happened it could cause complications in the future

I appreciate that you updated us!
Did the vet talk with you about any preventative care?

Even better today . We went back for check up and I asked what caused it and he said he really doesn't know. I asked it if happens again and he said if it happens again the best thing to do would be to stop the egg laying by giving her an implant
