Hi all,
I am new to hatching and keeping ducks. I have 5 from a 7 egg batch and one is staying tiny and not eating. It cries 50% of the time. It has pooped because I’ve been feeding it egg yolk with a syringe but won’t eat any chick dust at all. The rest are thriving and this one remains tiny. Any advice please? It is in the top of the picture and is a week old.

Are the others picking on it? I think I might isolate it and see if you can get it to eat mash, (watered down chick dust) on it's own. Maybe add some poultry vitamins in the mash.

Thank you

The others are not picking on it, they all snuggle together under the brooder but he stays under it alone all day, only popping out to drink occasionally. I’ve tried the mash, but he won’t even peck at it. I’ll keep going and buy some vitamins as you recommended.

Thank you
