Couple photos of my POP door. Used some eyebolts, pulleys to operate the door from inside the shed without going into the coop area. Then added a guillotine bar to lock the door at night. Rope goes thru the chicken wire and tied off.

Nice. I probably would have hinged the door with slide bar to the outside myself but your set-up looks good! This would allow the door to also serve as an awning if needed. I leave my pop door open to the run full time. This one is ramped up a little and has a little housing that serves as a wind block.

Thanks for sharing. I like your idea. What did you use for the guillotine bar? Can you give us more details? We are trying to figure out how we want to do our pop door and were looking at different designs when I found yours.

that is the door I came up with. Its roughly 10x12. I attached a rope, drilled a slighter bigger hole through the coop side and now i can open it from the outside. I just used some pieces of scrap that I had left over from the build. No real plan , just some 1x2 , 1x3 and eye bolts all slapped together with my nail gun. Just needs paint now

Just a 1" X 3" board. Screws on the outside to keep in in the track.

I had to add a 2nd shim on the top due to the extra thickness of the hinge. It actually made it fall smoother with the extra space but will still lock the door shut from being pushed open from the outside. Picture should have been rotated 90 degrees.
