pop door entry/exit ramp question

I can't make it come straight out from the pop door, has anyone ever built it sideways along the house or can it be done?

I've looked alot but everyone's seems to come straight out.

I don't know about everyone else, but mine never actually use the ramp. I'd say, as long as there is a way for them to get in and out, and a ramp that they can get up on, it doesn't matter what direction it goes. I, too, was surprised at how many come straight out. I would think that a sideways ramp would be a space- saver.
