Pop door for ventilation?

I could use another square foot of ventilation for the coop but I’m trying to leave the saws on the workbench. As I figure it, I need 1 sq ft of ventilation and the pop door would be just the right size but it’s below the roosts by about 2 feet. So would this be introducing drafts or ventilation?
I’ll take the saws out if I have to. LOL

When I had this coop in town I had a hardened run so I left the pop door open 24/7/365 except in emergencies.

Since I live in a hot climate, when I remodeled the coop for use inside an electric poultry net instead of a hardened run I put in a window. The way it's set up inside the wind never blows directly on the roost regardless of whether the pop door was open or the window was in place. :)

Only way to know for sure if there's a draft issue is to go inside on a windy day, and hold a string or ribbon by the roost and see how much air movement there is.

I personally do not count doors as ventilation, as I lock up at night. If you feel safe leaving it open 24/7, then yes it can count as some ventilation, though ideally you want to put most of your venting up high, not on floor level.

Thanks. I’ll try adding ventilation up high where it belongs. Guess I’ll have get the saws out after all LOL
