Pop Door in the Floor - Good idea or bad?

I forgot to mention - the way my ramp works is it lifts up under the coop to close the door so when all the chickens are inside the floor is one whole piece so no loss of floor space.

I have many chicken coops. I am in search of a wrecked Coupe DeVille to make into a coop for a flock of heavy egg layers.

I am also looking at putting in towers. Tall houses in front corners of my Pens. One thing I thought would work would be three levelsor two atleast levels for a chix Condo. We have Ft Chix with many corners for Chix condos. Looks good drawn out on napkins. Seen a few things pointed out such as loosing bedding thru the poop deck hatch. If I decide to go thru with the condos I will take pics and post as I go along. The TSC hutches and pens do not hold up very well. I bought them 1/3 of them last spring and doubled the amount I had in the fall and then I painted them. This Spring I doubled the amount of hutches and pens but changed the type and maker of the hutches and pens and painted them also.
Since now I have so many I have had to move the originals out from under the pole building. Really need more housing. Hubby says no more kennels and no more hutches and pens from TSC bc they are not lasting and cost an average of around 250, for each combo and I have 14 combos. plus doggie kennels, I have 20 panels and that is five dog lots at a cost of around 300. + each. He said that is enough and he said if he knew then what he knows now he may not have gone along with my first shipments. I WAS just doing it to do it with my son, then I fell in love with the garden gens and the rest is history. Sp jow I have less space and leas money but I have to separate my darlings so if any of you have any ideas or have already built Chix condos please advice and/or post pics. Thank you all very much. Gee when I am buting it seems as if nothing is for sale. Right now even dog lots are on sale. I have to use Chicken wire with 2 X 4' s now.

Thank you all for the responses. I am not sure just yet which I will use, am leaning back toward the floor door. I guess I can always cover it and make a side door if I need to.
Thank you!
