Pop up after clicking link? Never seen it before.

Clicked on a link and got this pop up from this thread here https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/have-you-tried-this-incubator.1288653/unread ~

I’ve never had anything like this before I didn’t click continue to site either.
I’m on iPad Air 2 with safari 12.

I don't trust any "pop up" links ... I've been getting a "malware" warning pop up, directing me to "Apple Support", it's a scam. The "Apple" site looks real but the number to call threw me. Find out it's a bogus scam, they want access to my computer ... Even with all the updated security trusting is hard
