First thing I thought was where's the RIR's. I know they are my favorite.

I would say that overall the RIR is the most popular. I know a lot of people on here like silkies but not a favorite of mine, and out of all the chicken people I know off of this site only one has silkies, and I know a lot of them. So no I would not put them as #1.

Idk about popularity but my speckled Sussex is beyond friendly and very productive. She is by far the closest to a pet chicken I've ever had.
