Porcalin Silkies? HELP

I'm not sure lavender has any effect on buff as buff is such a complicated colour.

In porcelain, lavender diluted gold (red) to a straw colour - but it certainly isn't "buff"

This is is a porcelain sabelpoot chick

and again, on the left (compared to lemon (cream) millefleur on the right)

Chicken plumage has only two pigments: black and red (eumelanin and pheomelanin). Lavender in two doses dilutes both of these pigments. The straw colour on a true porcelain is the colour of a buff with two copies of lav.

Yes, buff is complicated, but that does not alter the fact that there are only two pigments, and they are both significantly diluted by a double dose of lav.

I LOVE my suspected Porcelain. She is so sweet and almost to the point of lay. I say suspected because I won't know for sure until I try and get some babies out of her. I have a lav male just waiting for his bride to be!
