Prim is very beautiful. You have inspired me to go out and take pictures of my four month old Catdance Porcelain boys. They have very different coloring from each other. The first has more self blue.

They don't like posing and sat rather than stood. They both have streamers in their crest and pronounced combs.

The second has more buff. I love both these guys. They free range and enjoy life rolling in dirt, grubbing in the compost pile and running in the yard. Still they manage to be beautiful.

IM GETTING PORCELAIN EGGS!!!!! I am so excited! Also splash and self blue! Thought I would join you here and keep you updated on my journey!
I know almost nothing about genetics but I'm going for this look....
Love her! WOW!
My sons 4 month old Porcelain girl. We think she's special

I think she is special too!
Here they are ....

Beautiful! What color is the boy on the left? Sorry, Im still learning colors.
I would love to know the correct term to call this color. I've been showing my girl as Porcelain, but have also been told it's incorrect by several silkie breeders. I like the "Opal" suggestion. When the name is made official, where would one find it?

My breeding program,
I had bred a partridge with a lavender to get 'porcelain' shown below (my girl, Rainbow).

Then I bred her to a black with gold heckles and got these little ones;

I'm still playing around with the color and trying to figure it out. When I bred buff with lavender I got this color shown below (my girl, Pumpkin);
So cute!

Got this girl from an accidental breeding between a blue showgirl and white silkie. Could I put her in a porcelain pen? Want to keep her but no where to put her.
FUN!
Not sure if this girl is what you all are getting but I love her color and looking to know what it is. I've got a roo to cross on her.

I love the darker head and soft body. Like a watercolor painting!

Found this little one at my local feed store, one little silkie in a cage of broiler chicks 3 times her size, all covered in poop and looking miserable, so I had to rescue the poor thing. i thought it was white, but after a nice warm bath it came up a pinkish colour, could this be porcelain?

Im to much a newbie to say what color it is, but you are an angle! What a story! So glad you found her.

New pictures today of my Catdance Porcelain cockerels. Hatched March 2013. Getting prettier everyday.

The first one is my favorite. His toe spacing is great too. A little bigger and more mature than his brooder mate.

He was getting ready to bail so I had my hand at the ready!

His buddy is lighter in weight, lighter in coloring, and lighter in cushion. On one foot the fourth and fifth toe have webbing. Overall I think they are beautiful for their age. The first cockerel started to crow this week. They are about five months old now.
