Porcelain Silkie Thread

FlockNFoal I like her coloring as well. Is she the same one that you and I were talking about in the Silkies of a Different color thread?

Mumsy I thought you had two CatDance porcelain roos? Did you sell them both? I like your little fluff bundles also. My favorite is the one with the blue band.

Here is a little roo I have coming up. He has gorgeous lavender crest, beard and under coat, but his buff is a little too dark. It just seems to be an outside frosting of orange, so I am not sure if this color will stay or not.

I have another little one, about three weeks to a month old that I like the looks of the coloring so far. (the one on the right)

I did have two Catdance bred Porcelain males. One died unexpectedly and then a coyote wrecked havoc in my flock one night. I lost a number of my best breeders. Electric fencing has enforced security from that foe since then. It set my plans back but did not halt my dream. My pens are tight now. Never had a coyote on my property for twenty five years. Hope not to have it back again.

I like that blue banded chick as well.

This is a thread I started to share progress the Porcelain Project.

That little roo of yours is really pretty. After the first molt, he will change a lot too. And the chicks are lovely as well.

He is SO pretty! One of my Catdance roosters has the dark buff in his crest and I think he is prettier than his brother with less buff. They are both so nice I can't part with either one of them even though I don't need two roosters.

Thank you Chickee and both of your boys are beautiful! Did your top boy have that darker orange when he was young and it stayed? My little guy is CatDance also.

Oh Mumsy, I didn't know! I am so sorry. :hugs I'm sorry I brought it up.

Thank you! I have admired all your chickens for a long time. They are all beauties!

I will go subscribe to that thread right now!

Darling babies!

Thank you so much. I adore them so much already! Its going to be fun with these two as I have no idea what they will color out like. They both are getting chocolaty grey feathering in on their heads so far. And a few wing colors are stripy grey and tan... One has a lighter yellow face and bib. The other could almost pass as a blue.
