Porch ducks

How do I get my ducks out from under my porch and into my pond?! It's within view of their coop but they made under the porch their safety zone.

Lol awww little ducks! My duck made his safety space right in the entrance of our breezeway. We called him our guard duck lol... eventually he went off to do his own thing then came back to the spot when he felt he needed safety. Give them time, they figure it out in my opinion.

I hope so! 5 ducks under the porch all day = a lot of poop... and flies right by the front door! They will follow me about 10 feet from the pond then turn around and go back to the house.

I tried for weeks to get our ducks to go to one of our stock tanks not far from their pen. So, we built a pond right next to their pen. Then they started going to the tank. Now they go back and forth. Can you close off the place so they can't get under your porch?

Yes, we closed off the spot today. I have a small pool for them and they do go in that. But our pond is exactly that. A pond. It's a good size, plenty big for 5 ducks, fish and all.

Maybe I can put the little pool between the two. They really like to be in the flower beds when not under the porch or in the backyard, which is no where near the pond

Sorry, haven't been on in a while. They still won't go in the pond. However I do finally have one that is laying!

Do they love peas? If so, get them close to the pond with peas and comfy there. Then toss some peas into the pond. They will eventually get brave enough to get into the pond to grab to peas and then maybe decide the pond isn't evil and stay in.
