Hey ya'll, so I've been kickin' around the idea of managing my flock of chickens and ducks throughout pastures behind my cattle and pigs. I had thought of making an " A" frame portable coop with plywood and 2x4's and fencing the chickens and ducks with electric netting around the coop. What are your thoughts on it? I don't have a tractor yet to move a bigger chicken tractor so I'd figure I'd try and do a couple A frame portable coops to get em out of the chicken coop they're In.

Rather than use wood, you may wish to consider using pvc pipes? I have made a couple of small coops from half inch pipes and they are so much easier to move around than wood because they are so light. I made a small A frame coop for mothers and her chicks - works well for me. No reason a larger coop could not be made out of bigger tubing.
