I'm new so how do I strt a new thread and does anyone have ordered his crossbreed asst. ?

I have not ordered his cross-breed assortment myself. I ordered Pencilled Palms & a Mottled Black last year, they are the friendliest turkeys I have ever met. The jennies just began laying this week. Mr. Porter was helpful in his emails to me, but I just asked direct queries as I knew he was busy with his company. I have dealt with poultry breeders who do not use the internet and one must call at certain times to place orders, so sending an email and paying online was very easy for me!

You can't go wrong getting birds from Kevin Porter.

We are much like Spectrumranch in that after working all day, then feeding, watering etc answering emails is low on my priority list. Not to mention all the scam emails that come from the website.

Yes I have ordered the cross breed batches he offers and ended up with alot of nice colored birds. Keep in mind that is how he acquired his varieties was by mixing the colors and then continuing a certain color.
So it is cheaper and kind of fun to get the batch and find out what you end up with. Kind of wondered if he sexed his birds tho cause I ALWAYS ended up with more toms than hens.

In my mixed batches of 15 I have received mottleds, palms and even chocolates and auburn. And silver dapple!

Can't go wrong with his turkeys. As far as talking with him by phone I have found him to be easy to talk with and answers any of my questions.

Does anyone know if they still sell eggs? I emailed but did not get a response, I hate to call and bother them for such a simple question.
