Possible abuse

Im sorry to intervene but feathers are mostly beta carotein which can be found in kale and spinach. Please don't feed high protein foods to waterfowl. it can cause all sorts of problems in feather and bone growth. Angel wing being the most heard of. If she's free range she'll find the protein she needs in bugs and worms. You could offer her mealworms or maggots but not high protein foods. She also looks like she's got wet feather. Not been able to bath or preen herself much. A good bath, some lovely fresh greens and bugs and she'll be as fit as before in no time. She'll probably be going through a moult too which will make her look a bit straggly. Im so pleased she's found her way home xxxx

Spinach actually is no good for Birds...Blocks the body from absorbing calcium...Cat food actually is great....

She actually just spent an hour preening herself. I feel she was kept hostage in a small cage. I have no idea why someone would do this to her.

Id be tempted to let her do what she wants to do over the next day or 2 and then treat for any possible burdens. Let her bath and eat what she wants to an extent. This is just what Id do but of course she's your girl and you decide whats best. good luck. xx

her feet do seem pale though
Muscovies are always a mess when they molt. Judging by her bright face color, I doubt that she is seriously ill. In a month and a half she will once again be in excellent condition.
