One of my hens was found caught between two skids and when my husband and I tried to get her free we noticed her right foot was curled in and she wasn’t walking. At the end of the night, she tried to roost four different times and couldn’t make it up there :(
I have been checking on her every hour to bring her water and food so that she doesn’t strain her leg. I added photos to see if it’s her leg or foot or toe that is injured. If it is fractured or broken it is a closed fracture as I do not see any breaks in the skin. How can I remedy this?

Is she walking now? How is her leg moving? How old is she? Was she vaccinated for Mareks disease? Can you spread her toes out in a normal position? If so, you might want to make a shoe out of a double piece of foam meat tray or cardboard, and tape her toes in position flat for a couple of days. I also would give human vitamin B complex 1/4 tablet daily crushed in a little food or egg for riboflavin (B2.)

I've got the same thing, just rescued my bird from between two fence panels, she was probably there for a day or two before we realised...now in a tub eating and rehydrating, but still with that curved foot situation. What did you do??
