Hey I was wondering if anybody had any clue why my one duck has a purple reddish mark on his beek. I just noticed today that it appeared while he was scratching. I’m afraid it hurts him but he still runs around drinks and eats. I just don’t know if it will turn into a problem or if it is a problem.

I think I uploaded the photo correctly

The first thing I think; but please don't take it as a fact;
It is a pigment spot. The duck itself seems to be on the meloline spectrum that can give red pigment marks. How lighter a duck (lack of meloline) and the more brown-based it is instead of black it can go more to the reddish side that blueish/blackish/brownish. Your duck has a very light bill; the purple sheen you might see can be explained due to more light shining through. You might see this in the place where the bill is at his thinnest.

Sorry for the boring story; my guess might be totally incorrect; but is she keeps eating and being happy; I don't think you have to worry.
