I am a poor liar and as soon as I stutter over what horse the valbazen wormer is for the vets go "what are you really using it for?" and wont give it to me due to intending it for off-label use, yea our vets here are great....... Ivermectin I can buy off a shelf the next province over so no one asks me who its for.

Just get the Safeguard horse paste, I think you can get that at a feed store. FYI, Valbazen is "off label" in horses.

sorry I meant to say safeguard, that's what happens when I go on the PC before I am awake. We cannot get it at any of the feed stores and the vets wont give it to me unless I can give them every little detail about the horse its going to.

What about Piperzine? Still have some powder left the vet gave me to treat the cows and swine for liver flukes(never had any here since we are a nice dry area but I keep seeing them in livers at the slaughter house I work at, yuck.... just got paranoid and dosed everyone just in case), doesn't say anything about poultry and I would assume it treats more then liver flukes in any case. Any Idea on Dosage, all I know is the water tastes nasty once mixed and it takes days for the animals to dare drink it.......

Piperazine is sold in the US as Wazine and it only gets roundworms in poultry. You need something safe that will get cecal and capillary worms. Did you look at the links in my previous post? Just buy the Safeguard horse *paste* and worm the rest of your birds.

I would also be having a discussion with your vet on what you are doing and why. In twenty years I have only had one that was difficult when it came to providing what I needed.
