Possible Coturnix Quail Coop c:

Hi! I've done a lot of research into quail the past couple years, and I'm thinking of getting some spring of 2021! I'm new to it, but my family and I have raised chickens and ducks for awhile.

On our property, we have a chicken coop someone else built that I'm thinking od renovating into a quail coop! There is an indoor (abt 50 sqft) and outdoor area, but they would mainly be hept indoors. I'm fixing it upand plan to add many substrates, hides, etc, and clean it regularly. I want to install a solar powered fan to circulate air, too, and a safety net below the ceiling in case they get startled. Do you think this is an appropriate place to keep about 20-40 quail?

I think it will be great for quail. You have plenty of space for the 20-40 quail that you plan to keep, but personally, I would probably keep it to 30 or less. That way you'll have less fighting if you plan to keep more than a couple of males.
