Possible Death Of Chick??need Info!!!!please?c'mon, I said please.

Okay, as some of you know, I had a chick that had unabsorbed yoke. We eventually HAD to put him in the brooder with the rest of the chicks. Well, they were picking at him like crazy!(or more or less the yolk) My mom got worried, and she tried washing the yolk,which also had egg shells stuck in it, and I fear she may have accidentally done something wrong! Now it looks ALOT like its inards are coming out!

I do not know what to do, should we cull?

That sounds really bad. I'm no expert but I'd cull. That just sounds like an infection waiting to happen. Hope someone with experience has better news or an idea of what to do.

For the chick's sake I'd cull it. It's either that or let it die a slow lingering death.

I would cull also. I know it hurts and I'm sorry. I don't know of a chick that had an unabsorbed yolk that made it more than a few weeks. Best to put it out of it's misery. Sorry.
