Possible Eggbound Hen--Camilla my best layer--rip

It's uncanny, but all of my birds know she is missing. They run around the yard calling and wait for an answer that never comes. Lol, now I'm crying again too.

Hi, Im sorry for your loss. I'm also sorry I couldn't really type when you PM'd me. Too much pain in my hands.

I've lost every hatchery Wyandotte I've ever owned to EYP and/or internal laying. My friend has also. I will never own another unless it's from good heritage lines.

These things build up for longer than we realize. It looks sudden to us, but is usually is not. They don't always show they are ill until they are at death's door.

speckledhen, don't worry about not being able to respond, I understand all about having CT in your wrist. I had read your entire posting on your bird you dwelt with a time back and had forgotten you also had bad experiences with SLW hatchery birds. Do you think she had this issue for some time but showed no signs of it until yesterday? I wish I could have done something for her if I had only known. Thanks for all your help and advice as always.
