Possible eye problem

Noticed one of my BO pullets was keeping her one eye closed this morning. She could open it, and no discharge or injury is obvious. What should I do for her?

Rinse it with sterile saline or saline for contact lenses labeled for sensitive eyes. Then keep watch. It might be a slight injury or she got something in it. If it continues to bother her you can put antibiotic eye ointment in it.

The eye is an amazing organ in its ability to heal. It should be feeling better to her within 24 hours if its a foreign body and you got it out.
