Possible gapeworm or respiratory issue?

I thought my roo had a slight wet dog smell. But I'm not smelling it anymore, My DH seems to think the roo just smelled from not roosting and sleeping in a corner on the floor of the coop. The roo is acting much better. He is eating, drinking and walking around. He even ate a little watermelon last night. He still has a slight gurgle but has improved. I have one other little hen that seems to be a little congested but other than that they are all being treated (i'll continue treatment for another two days, 5 total) and doing well. When I was reading about coryza the article said something about lesions, I checked over all the bird (I did a really good exam) and they are all clean. So could this have possible just been a simple respiratory illness?
