Thank you. I was just wondering if it were true. After the hawk took the silkie, I realized that I don't have any crows around right now. Last year I was loaded with them.Crows will harass hawks, but don't count on crows to prevent an occasional raptor attack. Just plan to keep your birds in a safe coop and covered run if a hawk is hanging around.

I agree with you about the federal law. I don't think there is a law against keeping raptors away with kites like posted here. Deterring them I don't think is criminal.Causing harm or killing a raptor is a federal offence in the USA, with large fines, at least. Not worth it!!!
