Possible hawk nest?

I don't have a picture but we just found a large nest in the neighbor's tree. It's around a foot in diameter. I may start hanging old CDs. 2 of our 3 dogs are doing better with the chickens so maybe that'll help. I think we have enough trees and shrubs to provide protection, I'll take pictures of the yard too.

Here's a picture of our backyard, well, most of it.

And here's what could be a potential hawk nest.

Most hawks fledged about time the tree canopy closes. Harassing nest is a big no no but even if raptor nest rather than a squirrel drey or crows nest you are not likely to see much hunting right around it. Also small nest size indicates user. if a raptor, is also small like a broadwinged hawk or other similar sized bird.

Most chicken hawk nests are in the top fork or crotch of tall trees. The rest of the hawk nests I've ever seen are on cliff ledges and in both places they are constructed with rather large sticks and other such course stuff.

That could' be a squirrels nest. Do you see any hawks around?
That's true. I have seen hawks in my neighborhood but I haven't seen more hawks flying around.

I can't really tell if it's located in the top fork or crotch but I'll try. There is what seems to be Eastern Screech owls living in our bird house. They're too small to mess with the chickens but I wonder if their presence would keep a hawk away. Seeing how they're smaller than the chickens I doubt it.
