Possible infection

I have had 2 chickens in a flock of 150 die recently, and the both had their skin turn green on their lower bellies. This seems like an infection and I'm wondering if anyone has had a run-in with something similar? I took both chickens to a buddy who's a vet and they are currently being looked at, but I'm nervous it might spread quickly.

Make sure your pens are large, well vented with screening to keep mosquitoes out.

I'm sorry to post this on here I could not figure out how to create a new thread from my phone. I have noticed yesterday afternoon my hens eye was swollen on one side. And today the swelling isn't any better or worse. She's eating and drinking normal. Any ideas on what it is? Bug sting? Bite? Thank you
