Overwhelmed! Florence started limping yesterday, sequestered her inside last night. Eating pretty well. Can only hop on right leg. Our chicken friend came and said most likely Mareks. His suggestion was fast her from food 24 hours to empty system , water with a little apple cider vinegar. Then tomorrow night start three days of cooked human protein… beef, eggs , bacon etc. Ivermectin under wings and neck . Someone else said a vitamin supplement dropper without iron. No matter what I look up there are contraindications in that method. My head is spinning and I just want to do the right thing to try and save her. HELP

I would not listen to that friend for this issue.

If it's mareks, there's nothing you can do besides offer supportive care and know that you now have a closed flock.
Vitamin deficiency or injuries is much more likely.
Check her for injuries, any heat or swelling or bumblefoot.
What's her diet?
To treat Vitamin deficiency, get b complex tablet from the grocery store, any brand, give her a third a day, ground up into her food or a small treat.

The only way to be absolutely sure is to get a lab test done. I don't believe any of your friends suggestion will improve the hens condition if she does have Mareks Disease but feeding her some cooked meat/fish/egg certainly shouldn't do her any harm. Go easy on the quantity if she isn't used to the above foods. Sudden major changes in diet is likely to have the reverse effect and put her digestive system out of balance.
Forget about the Ivermectin altogether and be careful you don't get caught hacking up bodies to feed her human protein.:p
