A fee months ago my austrolarp seems off. Pale comb not herself and from the research I gathered I figured it must be parasites. Treated her and the flock for internal and external and she was back to normal right away. No issues. No eggs. Then she molted. I figured dress related. Fast forward a bit a second hen stops laying then molts. Continues to the third. So far 3/7 have molted. These girls are under a year so I have concern. They are active, bright, happy eating drinking normal. I have since then re treated them all and I’m worried it maybe something else. I know egg production glows down in winter so I can’t tell what could be the issue and I would be devistated if something happened to them and I didn’t catch it. I’m obsessive about their behavior and health.
Thanks for any advise or information

Hi there. I have six 9 1/2 month old pullets and four are molting. One of the four might be coming out of it and another just started. They all have paled combs. They all stopped laying. They all feel lousy during molt and even drop a little weight. I’m not concerned about it, but I did take them off layer feed and switched them to a 22% protein grower feed (with oyster shell on the side for those who are still laying) and they’re doing pretty well. Two of them are lower in the oecking ordercand get bullied from feed, so I place several containers throughout the run, which also seems to help.
I wouldn’t worry too much, but do look them over again for extrnal parasites. You can test for internal parasites with a decal float, but, I suspect if you just treatedthem, they should be OK. Which wormer did you use?
