Possible New Topic Suggestion?

I was just curious if it could be a good idea to add a topic in BST that could be sort of like Freecycle where people could post items that they wish to give away? Feeders, incubators, eggs, birds, ANYTHING of value. You could have Bird Related and Non-Bird Related. I realize it could cause some administrative nightmares, but I just thought I would suggest it.

Putting "FREE" in the thread title of anything in the BST area works very well. I was able to place a pet Silkie Cockeral that way, very quickly too!

I thought about that, but when Miss Prissy posted about giving away eggs, I was kind of thinking about separating out a "Pay It Forward" sort of topic. Where people could maybe be inspired to give those things that they don't use or need because they are motivated by others.

I think that many people saw Miss Prissy's generosity and felt the desire to do something in kind. In this economic environment, I just feel that it could be an empowering, inspirational topic. Maybe I didn't really voice that concept in my original suggestion. Thanks for making me explain further!

It would be tricky because all the free items would get mixed out of category... you'd have free egg, free chickens, free ducks, and free shovels in the same section.

We suggest doing a search for the word "free" in the title of a subject only in the section you are interested in. BTW, even more reason for everyone to have VERY descriptive titles / subject lines in their posts.
