Possible Norcal Chickenstock, Sac-Chico area, any1 interested?

So a few of us were thinking about having a Chickenstock for the Northern Californians. We were thinking about having it in Auburn cause it's smack dab in the middle of Sacramento and Chico. We were also thinking about doing it at a park, in which case we could probably bring birds to trade/show off/sell/blah. Is anyone else interested in coming? Any thoughts or ideas? I've never hosted... or attended... a chickenstock so I have no idea what goes on there. lol.

A park sounds great, we could do a potluck, we'd have to find out if it was okay to bring birds, maybe we could see who responds and try to pick a park kind of central to everyone. I know there are quite a few members in Sacramento too. We need LOTS of shade

I just attended a chicken even with a yahoo group, we did a gift swap of chicken related things that was a blast. So maybe we could do that too...

I'd be fine with helping to coordinate.

Oh, that sounds fun! It would be great if we could bring birds and such and have a chicken swap. I know the local 4H clubs would love that... so would I. Let's see who else responds and let's get things rolling!

Hey, I just caught this, I've been out of touch...keep it alive, I'd be interested! I know Nifty was talkin something about it maybe, having something planned, July or August............? It was under a thread called California - Northern. Nothing new about it though?

Well I hope there will be a Norcal Chicken Swap! I know there's one in September hosted by the Pacific Poultry Breeders Association. It's a chicken swap and there are a bunch of educational talks and such, plus food. It's aimed at junior breeders, but all ages are welcome. If we can't get something figured out... there's always that!
