Possible Rooster

This is my first post, not sure if I'm posting in the right place.

I am new to raising backyard chickens. I have an easter egger that I think might be a rooster and was wondering if I could get some input. What do you think?

It’s kind of hard to tell with Americana breeds because there is no obvious signs of a wattle growing at a young age. But other people who would know them better would need to know how old he or she is and they will probably ask for better pictures for signs of saddle feathers. I think it may be a rooster, but all of my Easter egged roosters I have owned we’re more aggressive towards me and the hens more than other breeds.

I'm not exactly sure on the age. I bought it in mid may- so maybe 6 weeks? It is aggressive with my other pullets- it likes to run up to them and sometimes flies up at them. They get along other than that, occassionaly.

It's a boy! The red comb, and also often cockerels have those red/ orange feathers on their shoulders.

Ugh. I'm not supposed to have a rooster. It was supposed to be a pullet. Are you sure the comb isn't orange?

Look for signs like fighting and being dominant. I know it’s hard to tell but l usually and able to tell the gender of my chicks at a day old. You have to really pay attention to their personality and the way they do things. My 4 week old rooster is constantly running around standing tall and lets his little hens know he’s found food.

It does like yo rin up to the pulleys, stands tall.....and sometime they fly up at each other. It does seem to take food from my oldest. Right out of her mouth!

You have a handsome bird. Here’s my Easter egger / barred rock roo at 35 days old and I would say your egger is a roo too bub.
