My 9 week old chick woke up this morning with labored breathing and just not acting like herself. Any suggestions on what this could be? First time chicken owner so not sure what to do..

is everything in the setup normal? not too hot, too cold, chicks getting along and not picking on each other. I'd give her some electrolytes to buy her some time

Welcome To BYC

Can you post photos of the chick and her poop?

Can she eat/drink on her own?

Where is she being kept - a brooder, outdoors, etc. Photos of your setup may be helpful.

What's her crop feel like?

Hard to know. At 9 weeks old, possible Coccidiosis. Have you treated her in the past? Do you have Corid on hand? If so, I'd go ahead and begin treating for Coccidiosis, the Corid won't hurt if that's not the problem.

Liquid Corid dose is 2tsp or Powdered Corid Dose is 1 1/2tsp per gallon of water given for 5-7 days as the only source of drinking water.
Do not add any extra vitamins/electrolytes that contain B1(Thiamine) to food or water during the course of treatment.
